I had a very disappointing experience with this auto repair shop. There was a lack of clear communication regarding pricing and authorization before any charges were applied. I was later presented with additional fees, including an inspection fee, without prior agreement or proper documentation. When I attempted to resolve the issue, the shop refused to provide a clear itemized invoice in a timely manner and made it difficult to retrieve my vehicle. Overall, the handling of the situation felt unprofessional and not transparent. I would not recommend this shop based on my experience.

I dropped off the car for a state inspection and to get the battery replaced. When I got the invoice, there were five additional services listed totaling a little over $1,800. I had the chance to reject them, but it felt like a pretty aggressive way to try to upsell. After I approved only the necessary services, I got a notification later in the day that they had to add one more item to the invoice, a replacement mass airflow sensor. And I couldn't reject it if I wanted to pass the state inspection. I'm pretty skeptical that it was actually necessary, and if it had been included before I'd approved other charges, I'd have felt like I could get a second opinion at another garage. They had to order the mass airflow sensor, so I got my car back in the mean time. When I tried to drive it the next day, I got a warning "Check Hybrid System - Stop Vehicle in a Safe Place." When I stopped at a stoplight, the car wouldn't drive until I turned it off and back on again. I couldn't take it back to Girlington Garage because they'd closed for five days for some company event. I took it to another garage, they ran a diagnostic, and based on the results, I'm pretty sure it's related to Girlingto

Update posted at the bottom! I cannot say this enough: do NOT take your car here. I brought my car (Subaru Crosstrek) in for a check engine light (which was on for a camshaft position sensor) that I had already previously begun diagnosing myself and had narrowed down the cause to about 4 different possible reasons. They charged me $350 ($387 after taxes) per every 2 hours of diagnostic work in order to discover what was wrong with the vehicle. During those 2 hours, they spent their time doing everything but looking into my check engine light, instead looking at my brakes, blinkers, and any other random part they could. They also tried to charge me $88 ($105 after taxes) for an inspection that I failed that I never asked for in the first place. When I called to ask them to remove the inspection from my bill, they said it was just a recommendation and they werenβt going to actually charge me for itβ¦They then asked me for another $350 to have another two hours on my car to diagnose it, which I refused and said I was going to take my car somewhere else for a diagnostic since they had 2 hours already to try to find the issue and had decided to mess around with things that have nothing t

With the convenience of a loaner, I could easily schedule service. They provided a clear and complete estimate of service, and I could identify what service required immediate attention. Friendly, flexible, and affordable service!

Tried to tell me I need a whole new transmission they changed the fluid and it all worked just fine like I figuredβ¦ went to pick up my car and they βfilledβ my wiper fluid charged me for it and I came to pick it up and it was all over the floor with no βhey your washer fluids leakingβ or anything. *addition* hey also ignored my request which I had told them donβt move forward until my dad cleared anything aka the flush that he wanted they pushed forward and filled the fluid without clearing it with the person paying the bills and if youβll look at the texts they clearly wanted me the student to clear these transactions when I obviously stated for them to wait for my fathers response. They basically just wanted my car out of there shop and disregarded our wishes I wish I couldβve commented under their response but Iβll just add this instead since they choose to not contact me and attempt to sweep this under the rug.
